Larry Emdur (born 9 December 1964) is an Australian television presenter. He is best known for hosting Cash Bonanza on Nine Network and Wheel of Fortune on Seven Network.
TV personality Larry Emdur co-hosts The Morning Show alongside Kylie Gillies, and also hosts The Chase Australia. He was the host of the Australian version of the game show The Price Is Right on the Nine Network (1993 – 1998).

Early life
Larry Emdur was born on 9 December 1964 to Faye and Dave Emdur in Bondi, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. He grew up with his sisters Nicki, a psychologist, and talented artist, Martine, close to the beach in Bondi.
The award-winning TV personality developed a keen interest in surfing at an early age. He dropped out of school at 15 years old.
Career
After leaving school, Emdur started working at The Sydney Morning Herald as a copyboy. He later moved into television, and by 19, he was the youngest national newsreader in Australia and presenter of the overnight news for Seven Network.
Emdur worked as a reporter, newsreader, and presenter. He hosted the breakfast television program Good Morning Australia.
In 1993, Emdur started to host the local version of The Price Is Right on the Nine Network. He remained on the show until 1998. He filled in for Daryl Somers on the family show Hey Hey It’s Saturday.
Award-winning personality Emdur hosted Wheel of Fortune on Seven Network. He has been a fill-in host for It Takes Two, Weekend Sunrise, and on Sunrise.
Emdur signed up with Network Ten in 2007. He began to host a show, Celebrity Dog School, in February. He co-hosts The Morning Show with Kylie Gillies, a breakfast talk show on the Seven Network.
In 2009, Emdur received an invite to participate in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race by finance commentator Anthony Bell. In 2010, he entered the Sydney to Hobart again, and his crew finished second.
In February 2011, Emdur renewed his contract with the highest-rated TV network, Seven Network. He co-hosted Weekend Sunrise on Saturday mornings with Samantha Armytage in 2010.
Emdur is a regular fill-in co-host on Sunrise and Weekend Sunrise. He was the producer and host of a pilot for a late-night talk show titled Larry on Late in Sydney in September 2013.
In 2013, Emdur participated in the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race with other celebrity crew members. He also entered season fifteen of the dance competition television series Dancing with the Stars.
On 26 July 2021, Emdur became the new host of The Chase Australia on Seven Network, replacing Andrew O’Keefe.
Emdur bagged the 2024 TV Week Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television. He was up against Asher Keddie, Julia Morris, Tony Armstrong, Sonia Kruger, Robert Irwin, and Andy Lee.
Personal life
Larry Emdur and Sylvie tied the knot in Sydney in 1995. The duo renewed their wedding vows on the Tahitian island of Bora Bora. They have two adult children – a son, Jye, who works in real estate, and a daughter, Tia.
Emdur met his wife Sylvie when she was an Ansett flight attendant in the 90s. He was a passenger on a flight she was working on.
The duo wanted a second wedding in 2005 for their 10th anniversary. Sadly, Emdur’s father, David, passed away that year.
His daughter, Tia, married her partner Rowell in Sydney in February 2024.
